Free-range nada
I have heard from a lot of parents that they intend to raise their child to eat healthy, not watch television, and then they have children and park them in front of a video after going through the drive-through for dinner. Stuff happens.
Well, here I was thinking that having a baby at 50 would make me a less neurotic mother than I would have been at 30. I read the article about free-range parenting and thought, what a great idea, let our child go to the park alone.
Then my 14 year old Croatian cousin walks down to the park to photograph the flora and fauna for her science project and I’m itchy the whole time. I finally got my bike and went to go get her. So much for free-range parenting.
I can’t even do free-range inlaws.
