Money can’t buy happiness

I was reading a book review by a writer who spoke about how in the ’80s there were those who went into the finance type careers and they were considered “sell outs” – and I was thinking about myself and my long career in this industry. A Peruvian author said money can’t buy happiness but it buys something awful close. People outside of the industry think us inside of it do this for money and while no one is complaining too much about pay in the financial world, the truth is that it is an exciting and challenging industry and since it is all wrapped up in money it has a pulse and immediacy on world events unlike other research, which usually involves events from the past.
