Everything is the same, only it’s different
The terrain of Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary is familiar because it looks like California – newly formed in geological terms – the mountain tops are jagged, the valleys are lush, the foilage is strong and fragrant – rosemary, sage and pine. The boys have a lot looking at Valhalla – looks like Sheep Dung – dreams are of a second home – sounds like ages of dreams – the food is Mediterranean – taste like forever. In the last six months I’ve gone from Istanbul to Shanghai to Budapest to Zagreb to find that everything is the same, only it’s different.
