Rules of engagement

When to engage – when you are dealing with someone on the other end who has equal facilities as you and can offer up as much as you do. In this case – green light.

When not to engage – when the person you are dealing with refuses to move their bags off the table and you can’t see the whites of their eyes because the suitcases are stacked so high that you are having to jockey for position to have a real conversation. In this case – yellow light.

When to disengage – when the person you are dealing with decides that you need to carry their bags for them. In this case – run, run, run like the wind.
