Every Monday seems to follow the same pattern – I’m not that interested in it to begin with and then it seems to live up to the mania that I associate with the day. This day started late to get up, missed the dog walk (they were nuts naturally), phone calls, then Tin to the doctor for his 21 month check up. Where the doctor said he was developmentally advanced (always what a mother wants to hear), healthy (ditto), and then she told me that our strategy for dealing with the hitting, kicking and biting that seems to have become more disruptive lately is not working – apparently little Tin likes the time outs because he gets a lot of attention that way – so now we are going to refocus on the victims – namely me and Tatjana – and should he hit we say sternly NO! and then the victim is given all the attention – oh poor Mommy, are you okay Mommy, oh I hope so Mommy, oh it must hurt Mommy.

So on the many list of things to do and more is recalibration for our healthy, advanced little baby boy. And keep in mind that every time we master something, so does he! Meanwhile check out this cool video of a time lapse of a baby growing up.
