Trombone Tin
In the evening, when the day is done, and we are getting ready for bed, there is a little reading, a little music and a lot of running around. Tin had his drumstick and was watching Trombone Shorty and imitating him and being a sweetie pie to Mama – even budding musicians need a little Mama loving.

I have a children’s book about a boy musician growing up. I think it’s called Little Lou. Ah yes, here it is right here on my shelves nearby. It’s by Jean Claverie. It’s about a little boy who takes piano lessons but would rather hear his friend Ol’ Slim play the blues down at the local saloon. Do you live anywhere near a saloon? No kidding, the illustrations alone were worth the price of the book. If I’m still alive when Tim grows up and plays, I’ll come to hear him…how’s that for a bucket list?

I just ordered a used copy online. It looks great. Alice I think you need to come meet him before he is a playing at saloons – but he might be having a concert really soon if he keeps up his interest and seems to have the talent.
