What a week!
I keep ending each week either saying or hearing someone tell me “What a week!” – well let’s just sum it all up – What a life!
And ain’t it grand?
To think that five years ago this August, New Orleans was under putrid water, and now there is a show about it on HBO. Go figure. Or that last year at this time, our first adoption failed and I stood in the kitchen on getting the phone call and felt like someone had just stabbed me through the heart, and now our son is sleeping in is room in his crib and he is ADORABLE. Maybe it is also odd to think that about this time in 1999, after having done this work for a competitor for five years, there was an investigation for compliance reasons in the way I was getting paid both as a freelancer and an employee and that caused a disruption that sent me to explore Cuba for my 40th birthday and decide to work for a competitor when I returned. That was over 10 years ago.
What a life!
