And yes, there are beginnings sandwiched with endings

During all the emotional upheaval in the house the past week, I neglected to say that Tin has taken his first steps. He started with two, then the next day two, then the next, and now the past two days he is taking four steps solo. Little man. And he has this uncanny way of sitting on one knee and holding his pointer finger up to the air – T calls him an orator, but I see a little boy that I want to grab and smother with kisses.

How did we get so lucky?

Smart fellow! My kids walked very young also, the first at 8 1/2 months, the second at around 10 months. Wait ’til he’s 2! and 3! He’ll be a ball of dynamite running around and getting into everything. That’s what curious children do. It’ll be great.

Ha – so you say! We’re already battening down the hatches.
