Sweating out the pain
Bike ride this morning almost kicked my ass. The bayou was crowded with a run/walk for breast cancer. The heat is back. Ms Marie sitting on her porch this morning, but I was listening to R and couldn’t stop to talk to her – want to do a mini oral history on her. N met her for the first time the other day and said “I heart her” and I said don’t you know it – lived in that house her whole life and she’s 93 – mind is sharp as a tack.
Earlier, ran into L, man of mystery, with his dogs when I was walking and talking around in circles with R with our dogs – L said he woke sick – hmm, I thought, I woke smiling. L called to us as we were walking away to say the Saints game would be on in two hours and twenty-five minutes – and you know me, ahem, I’m all football, all the time – but I do hope we’re on a winning streak – Monday night was great, but we’ll take the SuperBowl too – hey, why not.
