The 3-Legged Cowboy
Last night we went to Hoedowns on Moreland, now called the 3-Legged Cowboy (we heard the name change was to attract boys who spend more at bars). On Thursdays, it’s mostly girl’s night and I mean girls who like girls, but there were boys who like boys, as well as all types. The main attraction is the dancing and the two-stepping is fabulous. We sat around the dance floor and were entertained for hours by dancers with a choreography that is second skin to them. Our favorites – the large bull dyke who moved like John Belushi, read: effortless ease – and the baby dyke who came out later and moved so fluidly, we couldn’t take our eyes off of her – or maybe it was the cowboy with the flower shirt who danced with everyone woman there and had the whole cross the leg and uncross down so well. It was a nice respite and goodbye to Atlanta.
