Everything is relative

I was walking quickly through the park this morning, it was drizzling after the hard rain I woke to and thinking about how 24 hours out of commission can set you back on your to do list. This was provoked by a bout of food poisoning – gives you an appreciation for health that you take for granted nearly every day that you have it. I thought how 24 hours passed, the to do list sat there on the countertop, nothing happened, nothing was crossed off, and at the end of the day no one died, the world did not stop, and god knows it was all waiting for me when I recovered. I’m a master at to do lists, and I thought as I walked in the drizzly rain that I might need to master not doing, and just being a little more often.
