The promise of tomorrow is still mañana
The NYT seems to be the only paper interested enough in the recovery of New Orleans to actually keep writing about it. Unfortunately, the news ain’t pretty if you measure progress in big swaths. I keep measuring it in little ones. Like the paths being fixed in City Park. The banks of the lagoon being cleaned up and cut back. And as far as Mayor Nagin goes, Nagin who? is what we say around these parts.

The problem is that good news doesn’t peel eyes to the page, and no coverage is better than this. this article was hardly journalism.
