I happen to like New York

Went to see Come Back Little Sheba last night at the Biltmore – it got a tremendous write up in the New York Times – we found the play good but not moving as I had expected. But it felt good to see a live performance, to be in NY even though it is cold and was raining, out and about. We went to the Hudson for cocktails after and spent an evening catching up on the back-story ever more – our own interpretation of what happened before and why we did what we did and how we got to here – the narrative that is us. The one thing apparent is the will to be here because we’ve made all this space – we’ve organized the narrative to accommodate a great love right now in our life. How great is that?

Okay it does seem pretty much like some bureaucracy is in order here – guess I was more pressed for time than anything when I wrote that. It’s just a little uncanny how everything in my life was ready for her and everything in her life was ready for me – so just like you said – no complications – yet sweetly complex. That’s the best part of this right now – there is nothing left undone in the backstory that prevents us from being, doing, becoming whatever we want – it’s wide open spaces to explore playfully – btw her translator came back with this as the line — Stay playfully exploring my hiding places – meanwhile we went to meet her friends from Puerto Rico and Spain last night for dinner – fabulous fun – you would have loved them.
