From today’s police update:
On Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at approximately 8:14pm, the two victims were near their vehicle which was parked in the 200 Block of South Lopez Street when an unknown black male subject approached and robbed them at gunpoint. The perpetrators made good their escape with an I-phone which was equipped with a gps tracking system.
With the victims assistance the phone was tracked to the 200 Block of South Lopez Street. Detectives relocated and knocked on the door which was answered by Jarmaine Robichaux, Black Male, Date of Birth 12/26/86. Robichaux matched the description of the perpetrator, dark colored baseball cap, short braids pulled to the back of his head, and dark colored pants. Robichaux was identified by the victims as the person who robbed them.
Robihaux was arrested for the armed robbery.
