Non stop action
I woke this morning at 4AM because I heard a noise and the dogs jumped. The alarm was on so I knew no one was in the house but it gave me the hebegebes and I couldn’t get back to bed. I wanted to go up to my office but was not too thrilled about going out the backdoor in the dark even with Heidi, Inspector General, by my side. So I surfed the net a lot on my refurbished (fingers crossed) PowerMac that now lives downstairs and then I watched the sky changing colors over the bayou and after a while, I went back to bed with some tea and a book and fell asleep again.
Then I got up and went to walk the dogs and ran into my neighbor whose house was broken into, she said the guy had kicked in her back door and stolen her jewelry at 2:30 in the afternoon when she had just left and her partner was just about to come home. Luckily, her partner was delayed so she didn’t catch the guy in their house.
Meanwhile, she told me other neighbors had their back door kicked in at 9:30 am and so then I got worried because I was out of the house, with the dogs, and no alarm on. So I made my way back home and walked into the house carefully inspecting before I felt absolutely comfortable. Within minutes, four police cars were in front of the house with the blue lights going. They had apprehended a guy who someone had called in saying fit the description and he was in the back of the car. Apparently they found narcotics on him but hadn’t caught him in the act, but I got the hebegebes again because they were RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE when they caught him.
So now I’ve been walking around on pins and needles and I’m ready to go buy me some mace.
