Advertisers in search of a message
I called the New Orleans Children’s Museum the other day and the automated message said, “For hours and directions, press 1, for donations, press 2, …” Someone thinks this is a good idea? How about a little subtlety like “if you’d like to support the New Orleans Children’s Museum, press 2”?
H20, a spa in town has a giant billboard that says, “Give Outrageously” with two redheads of questionable ages smiling ear to ear surrounded by baubles and whatnots. HELLO, we are still in a recession! How about “Give Thoughtfully” and can the redheads and use instead my hunka hunka cousin’s son as the model – now we’re talking:
