Death and the living

It’s about minutes away from the real kick off of the Memorial Day weekend and I just wanted to take a moment and reflect on the holiday. Memorial Day is a scheduled remembrance of all those who fought and died in U.S. wars.

Seems like everyone might be thinking more about barbecue and beer this weekend, but the truth is most forget about why we are taking Monday off of work.

I’d say this – life is fragile, peace is something we are always striving for, and every day is a gift, not just this Monday. So close your eyes and think of all those soldiers, men, women, boys and girls, who died defending your country and offer a silent thanks.

Then have an ice cold beer and a delicious bite of something and be happy in the moment.
