Who are these people?
We went to Lilette last night for dinner and as always it was delicious. We had oysters, gnocchi, ceviche on beds of fennel, kobe strip sirloin, tuna with fava beans, and then we finished with coconut sorbet and profiteroles – yum yum yum! Did I mention yum?
After we headed to Donna’s to hear Tom and Evan play but wow – when we got there it appeared as if two tour buses had unloaded Germans and the place was PACKED. I’ve never seen Donna’s like that – and there was something a little icky about it – almost like it was included on some tour bus list. We hung out by the bar, but after a few songs, when they took a break, we headed out to get some air and decided to head home.
I love that people love New Orleans but sometimes it can be overbearing – like years ago when Jazz Fest was discovered by people outside New Orleans the weekdays went from being locals only to 90,000 strong. Yikes! Who are these people and when are they leaving?
