I dwell in possibilities
There is a lot of negative-think going on right now in the world and there is only one response – accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative. Yes, our retirement has gone to hell in a handbasket, and no, things on Wall Street aren’t going to improve anytime soon, and Obama has his work cut out for him, god bless him. But today the sun came up, the weather in New Orleans is so delightful, birds are singing, fish are jumping, and hey, hey, hey, it’s a brand new day.
Now, here are some other lesser dwelled on facts – you are reading this on your own personal computer. Do you realize in 1995 I was one of the first people I know to have an email address with AOL? Do you also realize in 1984, I purchased one of the first Apple computers? It’s hard to believe but I had my teeth done in the dentist office in two days – no lab work needed. I walk around with a cellphone that has a San Francisco area code – it came in very handy during Katrina when 504 was shut down. Speaking of which, we are here in New Orleans living and loving when just over three years ago the city was pronounced dead underwater.
