Jindal did us proud but Gustav was larger than you know

Gustav moved too quickly to gather water but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t potent. The wind damage that occurred from 12 hours of the storm passing through meant lights out for most of Louisiana. I spent the entire day cleaning the yard while T straightened the inside. And we’re still not done. Evacuating is exhausting – the stress, depression, anxiety just cuts through any diversion of being with friends and having a refuge. Getting home becomes this monomaniacal vision.

We drove back as we drove out – listening to WWL – only back home was a 6.5 hour trip as opposed to 21 hours. Jindal held a press release – he listed everything that is being done to help in the aftermath of the storm – it’s a business onto itself. If we are indeed entering a period of greater weather, maybe the next company you open should be selling blue tarps, bottled water, MREs. But Jindal’s crowning glory was holding Entergy to task. He proved himself to be a good governor. At last, a politician Louisiana can be proud of.
