Saving all my love for me
In my attempt in the last 24 hours to please everyone, I ended up spent and so now the rest of today is all about me – The Art of Selfishness – I have tons of reading for work and pleasure, grocery to make, and some serious lounging for the lord that must be accomplished before the nutty week that awaits me.
The lagoon and bayou were so glassy this morning from the rain that the egrets and herons made phantom shadows as they flew from bank to bank. The day started to go in the wrong direction, but I stopped it like a Wonder Woman holding her hand in front of a speeding bullet and took a deep breath – did my sun salutation – had a talk with Loca about her badness – found Bam who has escaped last night – and got down on my knees and kisses Arlene.
After that I wrote my bike for 30 miles in the hot hot hot sun. I’m disappearing into the rest of the day – going to contemplate my baby coming back after a six month sojourn to a million places.
