Showing up here

There was an interesting article in the New York Times about a woman who came across her ex’s blog and she was so drawn to reading about him that she found it addicting. Then the blog went down after the blogger had made some remarks he regretted. I wrote a fellow blogger about whether he might ever think of shutting it down and another friend who writes a blog to see if she would either – nope. Not going to happen. On the contrary, I went back during a particularly pivotal time in my life when people were writing comments on my blog that were none too flattering or nice and I approved them all. What the hell, live a little.

But I thought of Tin recently because a friend who was visiting took a photo of him during his potty time that is adorable and I thought is Tin going to grow up and wish that his mom didn’t blog – possibly. But then maybe he could join the future support group of all the kids whose mothers blog for LTYM and find solace that he wasn’t the only child used as a subject.

You know what? I was so struck by his handsome face (such eyes!) that I didn’t even notice the potty lid until I read the text. And don’t kid yourself, kids have survived far greater injustices!

what you don’t know Alice is that he is much more beautiful in person than he is in photos – imagine.
