Feathering our nest

Loca and I ran through City Park this morning and you could barely tell a storm had been through last night. We caught up with a fellow walker who pointed out the swans nesting on an island in the lagoon. It appeared as if the two white ones were occupying the same space and the black one was sitting as well. They are defending the nest against nutrias, those pesky beasts that are overpopulating the bayou.

I told him I’ve never seen a baby swan and he said with a little luck I will soon.
